DREAMS COME TO BALTIMORE GAY PRIDE
University
of Maryland’s Project LINQ Host California Dreams Ball
University of Maryland School of
Medicine’s Project LINQ and the Baltimore Chapter of Pinklady will host a ball
in celebration of Baltimore Gay Pride 2012.
A ball is a competition that allows the
GLBTQ community to express creativity, confidence, and skill in various
categories. The event will focus on unity amongst the GLBTQ community and
prevention of HIV throughout Baltimore City.
The event will be held at
1030 Morton Street within the parking lot from 6pm-9pm on Saturday June16,
2012. There is no admission fee to enter the event. The event is open to the
public. The event will include non-profit organization tabling with information
about services and safe-sex material.
Project LINQ is a community-based and
youth focused program that focuses on STD and HIV prevention education, free
confidential STD community-based testing, sexual and minority youth programs,
and education services with HIV testing for small to moderate sized groups.
